Faith Foundations
Teacher: GiGi Allen Course Description: In the Faith Foundation we will define faith according to scripture. We will cover the importance of renewing the mind. Right thinking leads to right believing, confessing, and successful results. We will study how to grow faith and cause it to work effectively. Teachings: |
Session 1 | Key to Renewed Mind Pastor GiGi Allen reveals that the thoughts we think influence our destiny and quality of life. Every believer has a responsibility to be the gatekeeper of their mind, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, the obedience of the Word of God. This teaching covers scriptures from Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 10:5, Joshua 1:8, Philippians 4:8, Proverbs 23:7, and Right and Wrong Thinking by Kenneth Hagin. |
Session 2 | What Faith Is Pastor GiGi Allen teaches you the definition of faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. This teaching has three main points: faith is present tense, faith believes before it sees and faith stands on the Word of God. This teaching covers scriptures from Hebrews 11:1, 2 Corinthians 5:6, Mark 11:22-24, John 20:26-29, Romans 4:17-21 and What Faith Is by Kenneth Hagin. |
Session 3 | Faith Comes By Hearing Pastor GiGi Allen teaches you how to increase your faith. Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God. In the gospels, the woman with the issue of blood was healed because of her faith. Her faith in Jesus came because she heard testimonies of Jesus healing others and she confessed to herself that if she touched the clothes of Jesus, she shall be healed. In the gospel of Matthew, when the disciples were unable to cast out the demons, Jesus explained that it was because of unbelief. Reading the Word of God and listening to anointed preaching and teaching are the main ways to build your faith. This teaching covers scriptures from Romans 10:13-17, Mark 5:27, Matthew 17:20 and What Faith Is by Kenneth Hagin. |
Session 4 | Release Your Faith By Speaking Pastor GiGi Allen teaches you how to release your faith. Jesus taught the disciples that they shall have what they say. If they desire to move a mountain, they speak the desired result. In the same way, when we desire healing in our body, we speak the healing promises from God until our body aligns with the Word of God. GiGi emphasizes the importance of holding fast to our confession. The definition of confession in Greek is to say the same thing or to agree with. As believers, the words we speak should align with what we believe, with the Word of God. This teaching covers scriptures from Matthew 12:37, Mark 11:23, Proverbs 12:18, Proverbs 18:21, Proverbs 21:23, Hebrews 10:23, Romans 10:9 and The Real Faith by Kenneth Hagin. |
Session 5 | Confession of Faith Pastor GiGi Allen teaches you the confession of faith. When God created the world in the book of Genesis, He spoke words to bring the light into being. Before He saw the light, He first spoke the word. Because humans are made in the image of God, our words have power. Our words can be confession of faith or confession of unbelief. When God prepared the Israelites to enter the promised land, the twelve spies came back with different reports. Ten spies came back with an evil report, saying the inhabitants of the land are stronger than us while two spies, Caleb and Joshua believed they were well able to take the land. God honors the word of both reports. Ten spies died in the wilderness, and the two spies with a different spirit of faith entered the promised land. God colabors with the body of Christ. Your faith and confession of His Word brings the blessings of God into reality. This teaching covers scriptures from Genesis 1, Hebrews 11:3, Romans 4:17, Matthew 10:32, Luke 12:18, 1 John 1:9, Psalm 103:12, Hebrews 10:23, John 12, John 9:23, John 12:40-43, Mark 11:22-24, Numbers 13-14 and The Real Faith by Kenneth Hagin. |
Session 6 | Walking By Faith Pastor GiGi Allen teaches on the two accounts of great faith in the gospel. The centurion believed Jesus need only speak the word for his servant to be healed. The centurion believed power and authority came from the words of Jesus. In the second account, a Canaanite woman came for deliverance for her daughter. She was persistent to see Jesus and humbled herself to honor Jesus as her Master. Your faith releases the blessings of heaven. GiGi reviews the importance of hearing the Word to build faith and speaking confessions of faith. In this last lesson, she exhorts you to walk by faith. After David confessed he was going to defeat Goliath with the help of His God, he had to complete his part of releasing the slingshot at Goliath. David co-labored with God, and the body of Christ co-labors with God to accomplish His plans and purposes. This teaching covers scriptures from Mathew 8:5-13, Matthew 15:22-28, James 2:14, James 2:22, Mark 5:25-34, 1 Samuel 17, and The Real Faith by Kenneth Hagin. |
